Watching Beards Grow is a short dance performance created for the young dancers of the Equilibrio Dinamico Ensemble.

Inspired by the magic realism of Haruki Murakami, Watching Beards Grow creates a mystical world in which humans have blindly been destroying the natural landscape around them. Slowly nature fights back in ways humans can’t defend against until they learn that symbiosis is key.

A combination of physical theatre, dance, looming atmosphere and visual metaphors mark this work.
