Facing Familiar Faces is a dance-theatre duet directed by Brandon Lagaert in collaboration with contemporary dancer Sara Angelucci and urban dancer Alessandro Ottaviani.

The duet explores the fragile nature of a family's collective memory visualised through the relationship of two siblings' different perspectives looking back at their childhood.

Mille Moules

8th of December at Arko Arts Theater/Small Hall during the Seoul International Choreography Festival in Seoul, South Korea.

Mille Moules is a dance-theatre solo directed by Belgian choreographer Brandon Lagaert and performed by Korean dancer Seungkwan Yang. 

It follows the story of a man who's able to move water to his will, making ripples dance across the surface of a lake with just a flick of his fingers. One day, while expanding his movement vocabulary, the water stops responding to his input which startsan adventure.

 

Subdued

20th and 21st of December at Architanz Studio during the Architanz Mixed Program in Tokyo, Japan.

Subdued is a short performative dance solo accessible for all kinds of audiences because of its simple but compelling narrative and captivating movements. 

Subdued​ is about a man, or rather his body, who has the biggest struggles with the smallest of tasks. The surrounding objects subdue him and play with his mind which forces his body to express these excess feelings.
